Challenges

In the 50th anniversary year of ATASDA, our small challenges in 2024 have related to past National Challenges from 2014 -15. Some wonderful and creative pieces have been made by members, and these have added to the displays at the Quilt and Craft Show and a display at the Mt Ommaney library.

 

Shirt Tales (2026)

Our current 2026 challenge is a 12 month challenge called 'Shirt Tales'.

Members began the year with a plain white shirt which has been added to each month responding to a prompt that is randomly selected at each meeting.

These prompts have been:

• Something Borrowed, Something Blue, Something Old, Something New
• Lucy Lockett Lost Her Pocket
• Add something Printed
• Yarn Bomb
• Australiana
• Rock, Paper, Scissors
• Colours of My World
• A Trinket Line
• A Little Bit of You the Artist
• Add a bit of Batik...

The completed shirts will be displayed in 2 exhibitions planned for early 2027.
