Participants will be taught how to hand-dye silk material to use as a base cloth and will create ‘Nuno’ felted material which is 'the lamination of fabric and wool to create light draping felted material'. Rae will then progress to the more advanced ‘Shibori’ felting method using the natural shrinking properties of felt to create interesting patterns and three-dimensional textural effects.

This is not a beginner felt making class. Some experience in felt-making by participants is required.

Rae is an experienced Textile Artist, tutor and exhibitor. Her first love is felt.
