Upcoming Challenge
Autumn Flight
The Challenge
Autumn marks the transition from summer into winter when the arrival of night becomes noticeably earlier, when day and night are of equal duration before the descent into increasing darkness of winter.
For our first meeting of 2012, we challenge you to produce an artwork inspired by the following text…..Autumn Birds by John Clare
The wild duck startles like a sudden thought,
John Clare (13 July 1793 – 20 May 1864) was an English poet, born the son of a farm labourer who came to be known for his celebratory representations of the English countryside and his lamentation of its disruption.
Any materials and technique/s may be used for this challenge – the only restriction is the artwork must contain a bird/birds, part of the bird or the whole bird.
