Upcoming Challenges
March 2013 - Breast Cancer Bags Appeal
The Challenge
For our March meeting, we challenge you to produce a bag to help a worthy cause:The lovely ladies at http://www.quilts-n-bags.com are running a campaign to make little bags for their cancer appeal.
Be a part of The Breast Cancer Bags Appeal
Many Breast Cancer surgical patients go home with drains in place and they can remain there for up to 3 months. Did you know that sadly, many hospitals send home these patients with their drainage bottles in a hospital pillowcase, or plastic bag?
We are trying to make this better, and we would love it if you could help us make more bags to donate to these hospitals where they are needed to help brighten up the day of a Mother, Sister, Cousin or Aunt.
Please download the pattern to make the bag. If you have any trouble downloading the file please email Carissa and she will email you a copy.
We thought this would be a lovely way to share our creativity and help bring smiles to those in need. A great way to start 2013.
Carissa will collect the bags after the challenge and send them to the ladies running this campaign. Many thanks for your help in this challenge.
