As part of ATASDA's objective to promote, foster, develop and advance textile and fibre arts, NSW branch has developed a number scholarship initiatives.

Donations have been collected throughout 2007, with the aim of assisting a young artist to experience one of TAFTA's Fibre Forums.

Work is ongoing to bring this dream to reality, and we hope to be able to make further announcements soon.

NSW Branch may be in the position to offer workshop places to students of ATASDA member high schools in 2008. These scholarship opportunities benefit students, other participants and tutors in workshops. Timing is always tight, as scholarship places depend on the level of enrolment in workshops. If you are a teacher in an ATASDA member high school and have a student/s in Years 10, 11 or 12 who would benefit from this opportunity, please contact Desdemona Foster to register your interest.
