Participants will be able to create a design, make a printing plate and print on card or collaged surfaces. When dry these can be stitched or further embellished as desired.

2. Craft Up Late - Wednesday 11 October - ATASDA members will be running a Felted Jewellery Make and Take Workshop. Places are strictly limited. Please email to reserve a place.

There will also be printmaking demonstrations and introductory surface design activities to participate in.

Member Retreat Weekend

All members are invited. Cost is $10 per day.

A number of informal workshops are planned for you to participate in. A table featuring bookbinding of cloth and paper books will be displayed for inspiration. If you have made any books - traditional or contemporary please bring these along to display and share.

Things to do - use ATASDA's equipment - we will be microwave dyeing fibre, yarn and/or fabric, a printmaking station will be set up to use the new press, our sewing machines will be available for surface design demonstrations and mini lessons in appliqué and free-machine embroidery. Mini workshops include wood block printing, felting, introductory to instagram, photographing your work, card making, making twine and basic basketry techniques with textiles and more.

This is the perfect opportunity to work on a current project, learn something new, revisit a stalled project, solve a problem, finish something you began in a workshop long ago, meet new friends or catch up with familiar ones.

So bring something to work on, or find all those decorated papers and fabric samples you have stored away and learn how to turn them into a simple book or a beautiful pamphlet or concertina book, be inspired, be a mentor, meet someone new. We are looking forward to seeing you and learning more about what you like about ATASDA and what you would like it to be.
