National Grants 2020

National is now providing the funding for the Grants program for all ATASDA members.

This means wherever you live in Australia you will have access to these initiatives.

The Grants  Committee with the support of the National Committee announces the following to eligible members:

3 x $400 – Skills Development Grants to individual members 

2 x $200 – On-Line Study Grants

There is also an extra $400 available for the calendar year - depending on the demand for particular grant types.

Skills Development Grants:

First Round: Opens Wednesday 1 January, 2020. Submit by Friday 28 February 2020.

Applicants will be notified of outcome by Tuesday 31 March 2020.

The Second Round opens Monday 1st June. Submit applications by Tuesday 30 June 2020.

Applicants will be notified by Friday 31st July 2020 re their success, or otherwise.

This will enable ‘YOU’ as a member of ATASDA to attend a course or forum or apply for seed funding to develop an aspect your textile practice.The Grant is awarded to give a member or members of ATASDA  an opportunity to develop skills in an area of interest.

National On-line Grants

  • First Round: Opens Wednesday 1 January, 2020. Submit application by Friday 28 February 2020.
  • Applicants will be notified of outcome by Tuesday 31 March 2020.
  • Second Round: Opens Monday 1 June. Submit application by Tuesday 30 June 2020.
  • Applicants will be notified by Friday 31 July 2020.
  • Each On-Line Study Grant application must be posted by the closing date of the round selected.

An On-Line Grant is available to give members an opportunity to develop skills in an area of interest via courses accessed online. It is open to all ATASDA members.
All applicants must be current financial members of ATASDA  and also must have held membership for a minimum of 18 months.


This is an excellent  opportunity for all ATASDA  members, so make haste and apply!

ATASDA Grants Committee reserves the right not to award any Grant/s in any one year. The decision of ATASDA Grants Committee will be final. Successful applicants will be notified within 4 weeks of closing dates.
